Dr. René Rochester is CEO of PHAT STAR Learning LLC with over thirty years of experience in the classroom, coaching, and directing camps. René was a dual athlete at the University of Texas in track and basketball. She had her encounter with The Lord in 1980, and has been running a new race ever since.
In 1999 René was the first African American to earn a Doctor of Health Education degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, she serves as an adjunct professor, conference speaker, and workshop facilitator. She also teaches high school AP psychology and directs an after-school student academic empowerment program. ‘Doc Roc’, as she is affectionately called by her students, is passionate about encouraging individuals to study the Bible and integrate God’s word in their daily lives.
