Dr. Charles F. Stanley was the beloved founder of In Touch Ministries and served as the senior pastor of First Baptist Church Atlanta for more than 50 years. A gifted communicator, Dr. Stanley authored over 70 books and was twice elected president of the Southern Baptist Convention. His In Touch television and radio program reached more than 115 million households across the globe and was translated into 127 languages—proclaiming the gospel with clarity, conviction, and compassion. With academic degrees from the University of Richmond, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Luther Rice Seminary, Dr. Stanley was as committed to sound theology as he was to practical discipleship. Through innovative media outreach and a lifelong dependence on God’s Word, he devoted his life to helping people know Jesus personally and walk in obedience to Him.
